Lorraine Perry is the owner of East Bay Cleaners, a dry cleaning operation in downtown Charleston.  East Bay Cleaners employs approximately 35 individuals, and does all of its cleaning in-house.  Ms. Perry began her relationship with the LDC in 1996 when she received an SBILP loan to be used for the purchase of the property, as well as the business startup.  Ms. Perry owns the entire strip mall in which East Bay Cleaners is located, and rents the remaining retail and office space to a variety of tenants.  East Bay Cleaners has recently undergone an expansion to create offices, a break room, an additional restroom and storage space.
